the SWANclothing Venice Dress

I made the 1st of these dresses for my sister’s trip to Venice. It combines a number of my favourite things: stripes, black & white, some pinks, florals, especially rose florals, shirring. And right now I LOVE this type of thick, soft cotton rope, and will be using more of it. The Venice dress is upcycled using thrifted, mostly vintage fabric.

Ohh, I would never be able to wear one of these (need more support than that, unfortunately!) but this is such a gorgeous dress!! I love the combination of patterns.

Beautiful! Re Michelle, wear a strapless bra underneath! That’s what I do with something like this.
