ok! seeing as it is a take-it-easy week for me or have-another-meltdown kind of thing… i offer to you one yes ONE! lovely item in my SWANclothing eBay store.

thrifted fabric, eyelet ruffles, empire waistline, and an eyelet tie belt. the belt is topstitched and has ruffles on the ends too. i am quite proud of the belt. and also in love with the button. BIG. clear. with a leafy sort of pattern inside. nice.




and! a prototype of dresses to come… this one is the FlowerBubble. i’m keeping it. i can be mean like that. but it is one i really love. and i am super excited to make variations of it. i tried it over a tank and a t-shirt, also with the straps tied high or low for more or less coverage. and i am just really happy with it. the nice thing about bubble dresses like this, they don’t blow upwards. and yes that can be romantic. and yes it worked for Marilyn but i’d rather not be an embarrasing phonecam opportunity thank you.

so as to avoid further meltdown i have gone to yoga, had a facial, been in the sunshine, been to the gym, gone for lunch & ordered a lot of takeout of whatever i want. so i now have a pulled hip, a mild chemical burn on my face, gained some weight, an appreciation for the great urban outdoors [including a David Suzuki spotting] and a renewed love of my friends! done! now i can get back to work and mess myself up again. i like sewing too much i think.
