details… some of my vintage slip collection. the pink is a favourite. and for Prêt à Porter P those are my vintage boots that I bought with Marcel of Belle De Jour in mind. a pair of SWANclothing sock garters in White Lace. and I still love, and am sort of proud of the longevity of my SWANclothing Moonshine Twins tote and from SWANclothing in 2007 my Big Bunny Bruiser Tote.

pics of my Whitby Cowl from Tara-Lynn of yarnovermovement, and THE BEAST. the strangest thing i rescued from Value Village. i love it. it keeps my chair warm but i have never worn it outside. the Whitby Cowl is another matter. and i have the sweet Tara-Lynn to thank for that. thank you Tara-Lynn! the other coat is my vintage tweed trench coat which got me through the shock of an east coast winter. hopefully this is a “bye-bye” winter post.

it’s probably a trick but over here it feels like winter is almost gone. and thanks for putting up with the week long store closure. i’m pretty much working around the clock sewing orders and working on spring items. my blog and store and all those other online things are like my heartbeat to me. so i hate closing my store and look forward to opening with fresh items ASAP!

i’m closing the SWANclothing for a week starting this Monday… in preparation for spring and to make sure all your present orders will get out in time. it’s been an exciting time lately. and a challenge to keep up with the orders. i have some simple, hopefully beautiful ideas for spring. and have collected some fabrics i am also very excited about. it’s been quite a mission, through blowing snow often. though i do love the snow, here’s to spring!

i am happy for another season to come. to make new things. to take apart old ideas and change them up just that little bit that will make someone crazy with happiness somewhere, i can only hope. you know? though i admit i am really enjoying the snow here. a lot! so spring with snow is fine too.

I have resisted buying an iPhone. But broke my cell phone on my recent trip here. Now I can’t close it?! Hard to deny the fact, that an iPhone would allow me to reload sales if I am out and about. Damn. The analog me, keeps getting fainter.
